Google AI Studio's Gemini API docs now mark the Veo 3.1 Preview family (veo-3.1-generate-preview, veo-3.1-fast-generate-preview, and veo-3.1-lite-generate-preview) as deprecated, with shutdown on October 22, 2026. Google recommends migrating to Gemini Omni Flash (gemini-omni-1.1-flash) or GA models on the Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform. Veo 3.1 generates video with native audio and supports video extension, frame-specific generation, and image-based direction.
