One-Shot Tunable Style Transfer on Flux3 Via Reference Latent + Node
Winter_unmuted · reddit · 2026-10-23
A r/StableDiffusion user shares a long-sought breakthrough: a one-shot, fully tunable image-to-image style transfer workflow for the Flux family.
Community consensus was that Flux3 keeps the composition source photorealistic while Flux2 Klein 9B "reimagines" the subject. The key turned out to be the reference latent + node, enabling two independent dials:
- Composition strength: later start = weaker constraint, more creative output.
- Style strength: earlier image-style reference = stronger style from the image; later means the prompt has to carry more.
The attached comparison shows a rigid result (pose faithfully preserved) versus a creative result under an illustration style. The workflow is shared with some custom node packs, though labels/notes allow rebuilding it with vanilla nodes. The author suspects the technique generalizes to other edit models (Qwen, Flux2 family, Fibo2) but hasn't tested them yet.
