SCAMPER: a virtual rat with naturalistic movement for RL neuroscience studies
zhengyiluo · x · 2026-10-22
Researchers unveiled SCAMPER, a virtual rat for RL studies that moves naturally during both exploration and goal-directed behavior. Built on MIMIC-MJX with PULSE-like skill distillation, it improves latent motion control so simulated neuroscience experiments can rely on animals that actually behave like real ones.
