SCAMPER: A Virtual Rat with Lifelike Movement for RL Research
Researchers introduced SCAMPER, a virtual rat for reinforcement learning and neuroscience research that moves naturally in both exploratory and goal-directed behaviors. By separately modeling natural exploration and goal-directed control, it learns foraging under sparse rewards while retaining lifelike movement.
