Interactive map packs 2,400 years of Chinese history with an Agent Skill for AI teaching
aigclink · x · 2026-10-22
An open-source project (jiangshanmap) packs 2,400 years of Chinese history — from the Warring States period in 403 BC to today — into a single interactive map with 18 historical periods and 164 territory snapshots, plus an Agent Skill, CLI, and JavaScript API.
Hand it to your AI and it can locate places by year and ancient place names, plot figures' travel routes, and overlay period-accurate territory boundaries for visual history lessons: drag the timeline to watch the Three Kingdoms form, or string Su Shi's life across Meishan, Huangzhou, Huizhou, and Danzhou to connect his geography with his work. It turns dynasty/name/event tables into one spatial interface for AI-powered history and literature teaching.
