The author built an image-edit comparison website pitting Fibo 2 edit turbo against Klein 9b and Qwen 2.1 at 1 megapixel, same seed, int8, with hotkeys to cycle models/scenes and view originals.
Verdict: Qwen 2.1 is still best for their use cases (inpainting edits, product and lifestyle photography); Fibo could be great with community support.
Key findings and caveats:
- All three models are extremely prompt-sensitive: enhanced prompts were generated with GPT 6 Luna xhigh per dialect — VGL JSON for Fibo, BFL JSON for Klein, prose edit for Qwen
- 1MP because Fibo breaks above 2MP; Qwen and Klein go to 4MP and improve dramatically
- Fibo and Klein are 4-step, Qwen 8-step; no good 4-step distill/LoRA exists for Qwen yet
- Fibo edit turbo is officially not for text2image (use Fibo 2.0 Dev); on meme swaps, tuned prompts + BFS + consistency LoRAs boosted Klein and Qwen substantially
