HowDevelop · x · 2026-10-22
Reflection AI published model customization recipes for Beam 1.0 (open weights) on its docs site and cookbook repo. Each recipe is a complete run with configs, scripts, hardware and runtime, and quality recipes report before/after results. Coverage includes LoRA/full fine-tuning and GRPO RL on DAPO-Math-17K across axolotl, NeMo RL, Megatron Bridge, Miles, SkyRL and TRL, plus distillation routes: Beam self-distillation on its verified Triton kernels, SWE-agent distillation into Gemma 4 E4B, and tool-calling reasoning training, with the underlying data-synthesis recipes (e.g. 3,941 tool-calling conversations) also open-sourced.
