Anthropic introduces Claude Duet, a proactive agent app now in research preview
aigclink · x · 2026-10-22
Anthropic has opened a research preview of Claude Duet, a new app where Claude works as a proactive agent: it comes to you with what needs attention, completes tasks you assign, keeps working while you're away, and checks with you before acting on your behalf. It targets professionals and small business owners juggling too much.
- Available as a standalone iOS/Android app and on claude.ai.
- Rolling out to US Pro and Max subscribers via waitlist, sharing the same usage limits as the rest of Claude.
- Built on Claude Opus 5.5, emphasizing judgment — deciding what needs you, what can wait, and when to ask first.
- Sends a morning brief across connected apps and messages you only when something needs attention.
- Handles tasks from scheduling meetings to building dashboards with dozens of tools, financial/sales forecasts, prototyping, and web apps.
