ChapterPal turns reading into a conversation where you can interrupt the author
burkov · x · 2026-10-22
The author describes ChapterPal, an AI reading app whose core experience feels like talking directly to the book's author.
- Press the down arrow to reveal the next paragraph — the author "speaks" to you.
- Ask a question in the chat panel at any time — you're "interrupting the author," with answers grounded in the chapter context just read.
- After getting an answer, resume revealing paragraphs, or spin the current discussion off into a separate chatbot-style session.
- Once things are clear, jump back to where you interrupted and keep reading the original text.
It's a reading workflow that seamlessly blends immersive reading with on-demand Q&A.
