Noa: open-source browser agent that drives your real Chrome with local models
m0dE · reddit · 2026-10-22
Developer m0dE released Noa, an open-source browser agent that operates your actual Chrome — real tabs, real logins — instead of a sandboxed browser.
- Pluggable planners: local models, Claude Code, or Codex; everything runs on your own setup with no proxying
- Speed: reads page text/elements instead of screenshots before each click, a small picker model selects elements in a fraction of a second, and it sends several steps per turn
- Author is soliciting feedback on which local models work well as the planner
