Couple builds 2.5D pixel MMO with Claude Code, splitting coding and art review across agents
AkiraVero · reddit · 2026-10-22
Reddit user AkiraVero and his fiancee are building Lumoria, a cozy-yet-competitive online pixel MMO with AI assistance, and shared a first gameplay look (boss fight at 38s, phase two around 1:10).
How they use Claude:
- He drives daily development with Claude Code + Opus 5.5, using agents for the game server, combat, browser client, and map tools, plus routine tests and checks
- She uses Claude agents for art, having the model review screenshots against their art rules
The art is not purely AI-generated: she draws initial art by hand, then uses AI for the various facings and animation frames. Website and Discord are WIP; feedback welcome.
