Analyst questions Anthropic's consumer-focused Claude Duet given its enterprise API revenue core
kimmonismus · x · 2026-10-22
KOL kimmonismus expressed surprise at Anthropic's move into an always-on consumer agent: while he doesn't object to proactive agents in principle, he reads Claude Duet as clearly consumer-oriented, whereas the vast majority of Anthropic's revenue comes from business and enterprise API usage.
He argues Anthropic has historically avoided trends and stayed highly focused, making this fast follow on a consumer agent trend look like fear of missing out. In reply, altryne countered that proactive Claude is simply much better than docile 'always waiting' Claude, and that's where everyone is heading.
