Astor 2.0 Launches as a Personal Investing Agent, Betting Vertical Beats Horizontal
ycombinator · x · 2026-10-22
Astor launched version 2.0 of its "personal investing agent," a launch amplified by Y Combinator. The founder argues horizontal agents are commoditized and vertical, fully regulated agents purpose-built for one domain are the next big thing.
The product connects once to accounts like Robinhood, Schwab and Coinbase, then monitors your portfolio around the clock and texts you only when action is warranted. It can propose trades aligned with themes you follow (e.g., buying Vertiv under an "AI infrastructure" theme), but orders only execute after you slide to approve. Free to start on iPhone via app and iMessage.
