Anthropic launches Claude Duet, a proactive agent powered by Opus 5.5
Flomerboy · x · 2026-10-22
Designer Pablo Stanley announced he has joined Anthropic and contributed to its new product Claude Duet (research preview). It's a proactive agent: it briefs you every morning, drafts next steps, keeps working while you're away, and asks for your ok before acting on things like payments or approvals.
Key details:
- Powered by Opus 5.5; available to Pro and Max plans in the US via waitlist
- Works with 6,000+ connectors and plugins, and carries over your memory, skills, and apps from the Claude app
- Official examples include tracking a hiring offer deadline, summarizing redlines on a $410K renewal, managing a 41-item store opening checklist (with a $640 health permit approval), rebuilding a Series A deck, and drafting refunds for 27 wrong delivery orders
