The Baker Lab (UW Institute for Protein Design) and NVIDIA Health have released RFD4-Proteina, a new open protein design model under NVIDIA BioNeMo.
- Generates proteins 13x faster than RFdiffusion3 at 200 residues
- Reports state-of-the-art results across 12+ protein design tasks, both in silico and in the lab
- Programmable design inputs plus test-time compute for harder problems
- Ships with a binder-design tutorial to get started
The teams call it a major step in AI-driven protein engineering, with fewer, better candidates sent to the lab.
