Samsung is testing a bipedal humanoid designed for 24/7 operations at its Seoul R&D center, trained for navigation and material handling while staff and partners monitor it in shifts; a CES 2027 showcase is under consideration, as keeping robots running around the clock means minimizing downtime. Samsung invested in physical AI relatively late, but at last month's Samsung AI Forum, Kris Hauser, head of its RX Robot Lab, introduced a three-layer foundation model architecture for robots.
