NeuroAI Lab Metamorphic, Founded by Andreas Tolias and Sophia Sanborn, Hires a Chief of Staff
naturecomputes · x · 2026-10-22
Metamorphic Labs founders Andreas Tolias and Sophia Sanborn are hiring a Chief of Staff — a high-agency generalist to work directly with them across strategy, fundraising, partnerships, and operations in Palo Alto.
The founding team comes from the MICrONS project, Neuropixels, and Stanford's Enigma Project; advisors include Surya Ganguli. Its thesis: the next AI breakthroughs will come from transformation in form rather than scale — from artificial to natural intelligence, with systems that learn directly from intelligence itself rather than its outputs. The lab is also hiring robotics simulation/hardware engineers and embodied AI/RL research scientists.
