ChatGPT Work/Sites hit by "No usable execution environment" bug across all platforms

GitHub issue #55654 on openai/codex reports users unable to resume editing existing Salysite projects in ChatGPT Work/Sites on mobile, desktop, and browser. Even a minimal command like "pwd" fails before execution with "No usable execution environment is available", blocking workspace access, code changes, testing, and deployment. Published sites remain accessible but development cannot continue; retries and returning to the original conversation don't help. The reporter asks for a supported recovery procedure preserving project state.
