MCP Inspector ships one package with Web, CLI and TUI clients for debugging MCP servers

The MCP Inspector, the reference developer tool for testing and debugging MCP servers, ships as a single npm package offering three clients behind one binary: a full web GUI (default), a scriptable CLI for CI and coding agents, and a terminal TUI. All share the same core, so transports, config files, OAuth state and protocol-era negotiation behave identically across surfaces. It also bundles mcpdo, an experimental client that keeps one connection open across multiple commands. Requires Node 22.19.0+, runs via npx with no install.
