Espressif's ESP-Mosaico devkit targets "Chat" and "Vibe" AI coding for hardware

Espressif has launched ESP-Mosaico, a modular ESP32-S31 development platform built for AI-hardware integration. It features a 480×480 OLED touchscreen, haptic feedback, built-in battery, USB-C, and expansion I/O for a camera module and a multi-function interaction module.
The Mosaico firmware offers two development approaches: Chat Coding via ESP-Claw, building prototypes from natural language, and Vibe Coding via ESP-ZeroCode AI, where AI agents handle most of the engineering workflow. Specs include a RISC-V HP core @320MHz, 512KB SRAM, 16MB PSRAM, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, Thread/Zigbee/Matter, and 128MB NAND flash, targeting magnetic expansion toys, motion sensing, and edge voice/multimedia applications.
