Genkit Go 1.14 Ships Typed HITL Tools, Budgets, Context Compression, GenAI Tracing
rseroter · x · 2026-10-22
Genkit Go 1.14 brings stable typed human-in-the-loop tools (DefineResumableTool pauses runs for approval and resumes with typed answers), recoverable tool errors that go back to the model, usage budgets, context compression for long runs, pluggable tracing with OpenTelemetry GenAI conventions, and millisecond decision models. Author rseroter argues frameworks like Genkit still do smart work for you even in the AI-generates-all-code era.
