Benchling partners with NVIDIA on agentic lab-in-the-loop R&D infrastructure

Benchling announced a collaboration with NVIDIA to build agentic lab-in-the-loop R&D infrastructure, where scientists and AI agents jointly design experiments, execute them, analyze results, and retrain models at scale—bridging dry-lab computation and wet-lab experimentation.
Two key developments: RFD4-Proteina, an open BioNeMo model co-developed by NVIDIA and UW Medicine's Institute for Protein Design combining programmable protein design with search, available to scientists and their agents via Benchling Model Hub; and post-training of NVIDIA's open Nemotron 3.5 Super VL LLM on proprietary scientific data so biopharma companies can build and own specialized intelligence.
