Rec: a Rust Mac screen recorder that merges screen, cam and audio into one file
Rasmic · x · 2026-10-22
Rec (v0.1.0, written in Rust, Apple Silicon and Intel) is a minimal macOS recorder that captures screen, system audio, mic and webcam into a single .mov/.mp4 (H.264/HEVC/ProRes 422, up to 4K 60fps) with separate audio tracks for editing. The webcam overlay is draggable and stylable, and ⇧⌘R starts/stops recording from any app.
