Horizontal (YC F26) launches multi-agent platform to run factory operations, claims 30% less downtime
ycombinator · x · 2026-10-21
Two mechanical engineers launched Horizontal (YC F26): a modular multi-agent operations platform for manufacturing. Robots build the product, but planners, logistics and quality teams still sync plants by hand across emails, spreadsheets and disconnected systems — Horizontal's agents execute that work inside existing ERP/MES/QMS systems.
Claimed impact: -30% unplanned downtime, +20% schedule adherence, -50% time to release, -25% scrap and rework. Built for enterprise manufacturers in Europe and the US, with cloud or on-prem deployment, zero-data-retention models, human sign-off on critical actions, GDPR/EU AI Act compliance and ISO 27001 certification.
