Google brings conversational Gemini navigation to Apple CarPlay for US drivers

After bringing Gemini to Android Auto last year, Google is rolling out conversational Gemini navigation to Apple CarPlay, available today for US drivers. Users can ask multi-step questions—like getting place recommendations and then navigating there while avoiding tolls. Google says a global rollout is underway, with regional details still unconfirmed. The CarPlay expansion comes nearly 12 months after the Android Auto launch.
