Unified latent space enables site-selective binding of phosphorylated serines and threonines
DidiKieran · x · 2026-10-21
Part of a thread on protein design with a unified latent space. The author reports that the unified latent space pushes binding specificity further: designed binders can specifically recognize phosphorylated serines and threonines, and even achieve site selectivity when the phosphorylation sites sit directly next to each other on the target protein — demonstrating fine-grained control over post-translational modification recognition.
