Claude Code request: let OSC 7501 status protocol work under tmux without terminal probe

A Claude Code feature request highlights that the new OSC 7501 Program Status Protocol (added in 2.1.295) only activates when the terminal answers a probe within 2 seconds — which tmux never does, so sessions in tmux panes never emit status signals even when a supervising tool via pipe-pane -O could parse them.
Key points:
- Hooks miss Esc, rewound turns and cancelled dialogs, so multi-session supervising tools fall back to fragile screen-reading.
- OSC 9;4 is similarly gated to TERMPROGRAM values of iTerm2, Ghostty or ConEmu.
- Proposed fix: a setting like programStatusProtocol: true or CLAUDECODEPROGRAMSTATUS=1 to skip the probe, plus documented 7501 state/kind list.
- Workarounds (faking TERMPROGRAM, an extra pty process answering the probe) are weaker or heavyweight.
