NVIDIA cuDSS hits GA: GPU sparse solvers deliver up to 10x speedups in engineering simulation tools
NVIDIA Blog · rss · 2026-10-21
NVIDIA announced general availability of cuDSS, a CUDA-X library that moves large sparse linear-system solving—the bottleneck of engineering and scientific simulation—onto GPUs. Adopters report up to 10x speedups in Applied Materials' Ginestra, 4x in a ZEISS EUV lithography benchmark on COMSOL, and 8-10x in Dassault's Abaqus structural and electromagnetic solvers, with Cadence, Siemens and Synopsys also integrating it. cuDSS offers C/C++, Python and Fortran interfaces and scales from workstations to clusters.
