NVIDIA Expands Agent Toolkit With Knowledge Foundation, OpenShell Runtime and Kumo Models
NVIDIA Blog · rss · 2026-10-21
- NVIDIA expanded its open source Agent Toolkit to ground enterprise agents in company data with governance and security boundaries.
- Key components: Agent Knowledge Foundation (CUDA-X libraries plus a new Auto-Ontology library mapping raw data to business concepts), Nemotron Retriever and Kumo structured open models (Tabular/Relational/Time Series/Forecast), OpenShell secure agent runtime, and NemoClaw secure blueprints including one for agent optimization.
- Enterprise adoption: NVIDIA's supply chain org via Palantir Foundry, Databricks pairing Kumo Anomaly with Genie Ontology, Snowflake integrating Kumo models; Nemotron Retriever boosted AWS OpenSearch relevance, sped SAP's reranker 3x, cut ServiceNow latency by nearly a quarter, and powers Zoom AI Services.
- AWS, Elastic, IBM, Oracle, Perplexity and VAST Data are also building on the stack.
