Reverse-engineering Futurama game took a month and $1,266 of Claude Code Opus

Developer JasonBotterill spent about a month reverse-engineering the entire Futurama game to run on macOS, largely with Claude Code. The attached usage panel shows the cost of that session: $1,266.54, 30h 56m of API time but only 40m of active time, roughly +8472/-100 lines changed, 99% cache hit rate, and 100% Opus usage — a striking example of long-horizon agentic coding where the human touched the keyboard for under an hour.
