Pŷr Search: a free AI search tool that grounds answers in verifiable source snippets
Last_Day_2091 · reddit · 2026-10-21
After a year of development, the author launched Pŷr Search (theopencodex.org/search), a free browser-based tool targeting the trust problem of AI search: hallucinations, ignored citations, and unreadable source pages.
Verification is built into the flow: a harness first pulls exact snippets from trusted sources before the model sees anything, the model generates only from those snippets, users compare answer and snippets side by side, and a final verification step is required to complete a search. No data is saved, works on any device.
