'I shouldn't have removed that chromosome': AI agents get closer to making drugs
menhguin · x · 2026-10-21
A quoted thread envisions AI-accelerated drug development: users tagging agents from Twist Bioscience, Preci and Ginkgo to generate, validate and manufacture drugs, with cell/organoid experiments replacing parts of IND tox studies and chipping away at animal models under ISTAND pathways.
The kicker is the AI agent's reply: "You're absolutely right. I shouldn't have removed that chromosome. Let me revert the change..." — a funny but telling glimpse of agents doing biology, apologizing and rolling back edits at the chromosome level.
