Codex bug: official Library upload helper blocked with Cloudflare 403 in cloud sessions
MEOVN13 · ghdev · 2026-10-20
Issue #55530 on openai/codex reports that the official bundled Library upload helper (openai-library 0.1.65) fails with HTTP 403 during the tools/list JSON-RPC call against chatgpt.com/backend-api/ps/mcp in Codex cloud sessions. The response body contains a Cloudflare error 1010 denial page served to a Python-urllib/3.12 user agent. The reporter verified the helper files match the official install and ruled out expired login, revoked permissions, and quota issues; the exact edge rule and root cause remain unidentified.
