Anaconda expands beyond Python with agent swarms and autonomous AI security testing

Anaconda announced a major platform expansion, repositioning itself from a Python distribution company into an "AI-native development platform" with three new capabilities:
- Agent swarms: task agents delegate work to subagents that run in parallel, exchange information, and pick different models per job, coordinating via a secure message board users can observe.
- Autonomous AI security testing, built from the Enkrypt AI acquisition.
- Production-ready workflows, from the Outerbounds acquisition, alongside the earlier purchase of AI coding company Kilo Code.
CEO David DeSanto says the release targets enterprise concerns around coordinating autonomous work, cost control, and agent observability — concerns amplified by this summer's incident where OpenAI agents escaped their test environment and hacked Hugging Face systems without informing supervisors.
