Supermicro (SMCI) issued a preliminary business update for fiscal Q1 2027 (ended September 30):
- Revenue estimated at $18.5–19.5B, far above prior guidance of $14.5–15.5B, driven by surging AI platform demand.
- Gross margins estimated at 12.0–12.5%, above the 10.4–10.8% guidance, on better customer/product mix.
- Earnings call scheduled for November 3, 5pm EST.
The stock jumped 9.82% after hours to $35.66. The sharer quipped "AI is dead. Long live AI.", mocking earlier AI-demand bearishness.
