A Polymathic AI internship project finetuned Walrus, a foundation model trained on simulated physical systems, on 12 wild-type Drosophila blastoderm videos and tested it on unseen conditions to predict living embryo tissue flows — probing whether physics foundation models can transfer to real biological systems and yield new biophysics insights.
