Allie Miller gave her AI agent $500 and 24 hours to plan an entire afternoon
alliekmiller · x · 2026-10-21
Allie Miller ran an autonomy experiment: she gave her AI agent Dot a $500 budget and 24 hours to plan an entire afternoon for her and a friend — picking the friend, pinging them, coordinating time, choosing plans, booking tickets and reservations, mapping commutes, and sending invites. Her only roles: granting data permissions and showing up.
The experiment went "horribly wrong" at points; she posted the results, wins, misses, and takeaways, including whether she'd ever do it again.
