OpenCode v2.0.29 regression: per-agent model config silently ignored in new sessions
Addin · ghdev · 2026-10-15
User Addin filed anomalyco/opencode issue #55727 (labeled reproduced): in v2.0.29, per-agent model config is not applied when a new session starts.
- Whether using the default build agent or --agent <id> (configured via opencode.jsonc or agent frontmatter), sessions always fall back to the default gemini-4-argon-contributor instead of the configured opencode-go/deepseek-v4.1-flash#max
- The equivalent V1 (1.19.0) setup worked, and the official migration guide lists agent model as supported — pointing to a V1→V2 compatibility regression
- opencode debug config confirms the config is loaded and normalized, ruling out unread configs
- Environment: Linux x8664, curl installer; 4 comments so far
