One dev used Claude Code to turn 44 real cities into Cities: Skylines 2 zoning maps
Kingleyend · reddit · 2026-10-21
A solo developer built a tool that colors every OSM building with the zoning type Cities: Skylines 2 would assign, growing from Minneapolis to 44 cities in 20 countries via GitHub issue requests. Workflow: a CLAUDE.md with project rules, written plans per feature, having Claude and Codex debate three layouts each, 694 tests including Playwright browser checks, and Claude Code auto-processing city requests from issues into PRs. 411 commits, 19 releases, MIT licensed. Minneapolis even has a Compare mode against the official 2040 plan.
