Ex-Brain Games host made a 25-min AI film in 5 days using 'vibe directing' in iMessage

Jason Silva, former Brain Games host, created The Dervish, a 25-minute AI film set in the 1960s, in five days. His workflow: riff each scene into speech-to-text, have an LLM turn the riff into a shot-by-shot list, then send each shot to the video model. The tool, Director, was built by Vine co-founder Rus Yusupov and runs inside iMessage. Silva ran the loop 26 times, once per 3-minute chapter, calling the method vibe directing. The shot list in the middle is the most copyable part: describe a scene out loud, write down every shot, and generate one shot at a time.
