Motion Launches a General Video Agent That Edits Footage and Mimics Any Reference Style
mhdfaran · x · 2026-10-21
Motion launched its General Video Agent with frontier capabilities in video editing, motion design, and video understanding. Drop in footage, a brief, or a reference video and it handles multicamera podcast cuts, launch videos, logo animation, color grading, and audio sync — studying a reference's pacing, typography, and transitions before self-checking the cut. Outputs stay editable, or export to Premiere Pro, After Effects, or DaVinci Resolve. It connects to Google Drive, Frame.io, Notion, and Slack, runs on schedules, publishes to social accounts, and offers an API plus MCP server callable from Claude and Codex. Its own launch video was made with the tool.
