Formal verification is only as good as your specification: the Lean caveat
burny_tech · x · 2026-10-21
burnytech argues formal verification is only as good as the specification and assumptions you write down. If a theorem is translated correctly from natural language to Lean, it gets verified — otherwise you're verifying a different theorem. Lean kernel bugs are rare but possible, and dependent type theory inconsistency is deemed very unlikely.
