Beat AI's samey frontends: import a design system before generating UI
dotey · x · 2026-10-21
dotey shares a practical frontend tip: frontier models like Claude default to a heavily homogenized UI style — they love shadcn/ui, so everything looks the same.
His fix: start with a design system. Import or build one first, then use it across your PPTs, web pages, even videos — output avoids the generic AI look and stays consistent. The approach works even without Claude Design, and there are many open-source design systems to pick from; he uses Adobe's and finds results "at least not ugly." Complements jakevin7's prompt recipe of pinning mature libraries for UI, icons, animation, and state management.
