Sophont launches Holon-S1 to decode spatial gene expression from pathology slides
iScienceLuvr · x · 2026-10-21
Sophont introduced Holon-S1, a pathology AI model that predicts spatial activity of thousands of genes directly from routine H&E slides, mapping predictions to dozens of biological programs. Its technical report covers 16 organ types, 15+ scanners, and both FFPE and fresh-frozen tissue. Target applications span biomarker discovery, treatment response explanation, patient stratification, and clinical test development; the team is courting biopharma and academic collaborations and inviting independent evaluations.
