OpenAI compensates users $1,000 in credits after Codex Pro 500 upgrade error left allowances unchanged
airesearch12 · x · 2026-10-21
A user shared an OpenAI support email: upgrading from Pro 200 to Pro 500 failed to raise weekly Codex/Work usage allowances due to an error, so the account kept the old plan's limits. OpenAI fixed it on October 16 and added 25,000 credits ($1,000) as compensation, separate from the weekly allowance, expiring January 20, 2027.
