Bria released Fibo 2.0, an 8.1B-parameter flow-matching transformer that now ranks #1 among open-weights models on Artificial Analysis's image editing arena with 1087 Elo, ahead of Qwen-Image-2.1 (1083) and HunyuanImage 3.0 Instruct (1064).
- Uses Qwen3-VL as text encoder, with a Perceiver condensing hidden states into gist tokens plus gated cross-attention in five blocks
- Native structured JSON caption control with solid text rendering
- Two checkpoints: Fibo-2.0-dev (full model, 30 steps, guidance 5) and distilled Fibo-2.0-edit-turbo (4 steps, no guidance)
- Supported in Diffusers on day one
