Pinokio goes multiplayer: local AI app runner adds feeds, project and tag communities
cocktailpeanut · x · 2026-10-20
Pinokio, the one-click runner for local AI apps, has launched a multiplayer (social) mode, evolving from a single-player tool into a community platform:
- Feeds: follow projects, people, and tags; project follows bring both maintainer announcements and community posts, with active communities bumping to the top of your sidebar.
- App communities: each app now has its own community page for sharing workflows, asking questions, and helping other users—addressing the old problem of figuring tools out alone.
- Tag communities: posting to tags like #showcase, #guide, and #cool-project notifies everyone following that tag.
The website explore page is now unified with the in-app experience. The post also showcases community activity, e.g. Companion for ComfyUI v2.0.1 adding a Civitai model hub, a 16GB-VRAM pipeline, and more.
