"The End of Software Engineering" paper plus a guide to cut Claude bills from $765 to $3

Chinese researchers published a paper bluntly titled "The End of Software Engineering," arguing that writing code is finished as a skill: a human brain can only juggle so much state before locking up, while agents hit no such wall and more compute keeps raising their limit. Typing stops being your job — you become the intent architect who decides what gets built and signs off on results. The next raise goes to whoever can tell a solid agent run from a confidently wrong one.

The poster paired it with a hands-on guide, "Loop Engineering Meets Jev Engineering": a 100-millisecond safety gate, a stop hook that knows when the work is really done, and a triage filter that only wakes Claude when there's something to fix — cutting a Claude Code bill from $765 to $3 a month.
