Dev uses Claude Opus 5.5 to recreate Roku-style screensavers: a gallery of 50 animated vistas
mhmazur · x · 2026-10-20
Developer mhmazur, inspired by his Roku TV's slowly scrolling screensaver, used Claude Opus 5.5 to generate 50 diverse animated landscape scenes, published as an online gallery.
- Scenes range from Provence lavender fields and a 16-bit pixel quest to steampunk airships over floating islands and misty Chinese ink mountains.
- Each scene scrolls for about 40 minutes before switching to a new one.
- Any scene can be restyled into pixel art, paper cut, Art Deco, or Japanese katazome while the animation keeps running.
He recommends full-screen playback on an unused external monitor and is sharing more examples in the thread.
