A 3D developer who wrote rasterizers in DOS spent 3 years hand-building his GL game engine Degine, then switched to GPT-assisted development a few months ago because the project was too large for one person — and cracked global illumination in just 3 days, showing off rendered results.
He amplified Tim Sweeney's call that most developers use and love AI but stay silent out of fear of backlash, urging beneficiaries to speak up.
